NOTICE OF PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF LAND AT DUPPAS HILL RECREATION GROUND OLD SCHOOL PLACE CROYDON CR0 4GB

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that the London Borough of Croydon (“the Council”) intends to dispose of an area of public open space being land at Duppas Hill Recreation Ground, Old School Place, Croydon, CR0 4GB, by way of the grant of easements pursuant to a Deed of Grant in relation to rights for the installation and retention of underground electric cables and associated access.

The area which is proposed to be subject to the Deed of Grant comprises approximately 2,328 square meters of land and is approximately 388 meters long.

Copies of a plan showing the approximate position of the affected land, as below, may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours Monday to Friday at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA, or can also be viewed on the council website at www.croydon.gov.uk.

By virtue of Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to dispose of public open space and consider any objections to the proposed disposal. Any objection or representations regarding the proposed disposal should be made in writing to Harry Gittoes at estates.assets@croydon.gov.uk no later than 12 noon on 4th September 2026 the grounds for any objection should be stated.
