What is happening?

South-West Water Region

Independent Water Networks Ltd (IWNL) gives notice that, pursuant to sections 76 and 76A-C of the Water Industry Act 1991, the following uses of water supplied by IWNL are restricted.

  1. Watering a garden using a hosepipe

  2. Cleaning a private motor-vehicle using a hosepipe

  3. Watering plants on domestic or other non-commercial premises using a hosepipe

  4. Cleaning a private leisure boat using a hosepipe

  5. Filling or maintaining a domestic swimming or paddling pool

  6. Drawing water, using a hosepipe, for domestic recreational use

  7. Filling or maintaining a domestic pond using a hosepipe

  8. Filling or maintaining an ornamental fountain

  9. Cleaning walls, or windows, or a domestic premises using a hosepipe

  10. Cleaning paths or patios using a hosepipe

  11. Cleaning other artificial outdoor surfaces using a hosepipe

Water restrictions will start at 00:01 on the 13 August 2026 and continue until further notification. The restrictions applies in the areas of supply of Goodmores Farm (EX8), Land off Townsend Road (EX19), Exmouth Junction (EX4), Higher Trenant Road (PL27), Gatehouse Farm (EX7), Old Barnstaple Road (EX34), Sawmill (TQ9), Willand Road (EX15), Hampton Mill (EX20), Palmerston Height West (PL6), Trewemper Road (TR8), Bay View (Phase 2) (EX39), Long Rock (TR20), Hatfield Road (TQ1), Nansledan (TR8), Clovelly Road 1 (EX39), Brixham Road (TQ4), Exmouth Junction 2 (EX4), Tinkers Cross (SP6), South West Exeter (Parcel 9-16) (EX2), Broomfield (TQ9), Willard Road (CA) (EX15), Castle Street (PL31), Totnes Road (TQ4), Higher Exeter Road (TQ14), Trevithick Lodge (TR8), Clodgey Lane (TR13), Clovelly Road 2 (EX39), Newham Farm (TR1), Bay View (Phase 3) (EX39), Whity Cross (PL12), Tencreek (PL14), Milford Road (Phase 1) (SO41), School Lane (EX38), Chulmleigh Road (EX19), Elliott Gardens (Phase 4) (EX1), Collaton Cross (PL8), Dudman Farm (TR1), Nansledan Phase 9A, Gusti Veor 6 & 9 (BV) (TR8), West of Old Totnes Road (TQ12), Exwick Lane (EX4), Clyst Road (Phase 3) (EX3), Fore Street (CA) (PL16).
