ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT.
Regulation 12B of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) SI1999/1783 as amended
UPPER WYE CATCHMENT
RESTORATION PROJECT

Natural Resources Wales gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the drainage on unnamed streams draining into the Rivers Ithon and Wye in Powys at

Brynhoveth Farm (NGR SO 10783 66036),
Brynthomas Farm (NGR SO 10731 61770) and
Tynddol Farm (NGR SN 90177 80031).

The proposed improvement works will involve the following:
• At Brynhoveth Farm, installation of a culvert (450mm twin wall pipe) to divert the watercourse under the farm track rather than flowing over the track, to reduce sediment being transported into the river.
• At Brynthomas Farm, fencing off the watercourse to exclude stock and installation of a culvert (800mm twin wall pipe) to form a formal crossing point for stock and machinery, to reduce silt and nutrient ingress into the river.
• At Tynddol Farm, installation of a culvert (800mm twin wall pipe) to form a formal crossing point for machinery, to reduce silt and nutrient ingress into the river.

Natural Resources Wales considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them.

For further information, please contact the project manager on the details below.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 15 days of the date of publication of this notice.

Brendan Adair (Project Manager), Natural Resources Wales, Rivers House,
