What is happening?

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27(1) OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

THE FAMILY ASSURANCE STAFF PENSION SCHEME (“the Scheme”) and former schemes/names: Post Office Insurance Society Staff Superannuation Fund, Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited Staff Pension Scheme, Family Assurance Society Pension Scheme

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, that the Trustee expects to complete the winding up of the Scheme in the near future. If you have already received a communication from the Trustee regarding this matter then you do not need to take any action as the Trustee already has details of your claims and entitlements.

Any person who has not been contacted by the Trustee regarding the wind up of the Scheme who believes that they have a claim against, or entitlement to a pension or any benefit from, the Family Assurance Staff Pension Scheme (or any of the former schemes/names listed above) is hereby required to send particulars in writing by 6 October 2026 of their claim or entitlement (together with full name, present address and date of birth) to:

Marked for the attention of the Family Assurance Staff Pension Scheme administration team.

The Trustee will distribute the assets of the Scheme among the persons entitled thereto having regard only to those persons of whose claims and entitlements they have notice and will not be liable to any other person.
