TRENT JACKETS AND RISER SECTIONS DECOMMISSIONING PROGRAMMES

Perenco UK Limited has submitted, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, draft Decommissioning Programmes (DPs) for the Trent jackets and riser sections, in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1998. It is a requirement of the Act that interested parties be consulted on such decommissioning proposals.

The DPs detail the planned removal of the Trent production platform (TP) jacket and the Trent compression platform (TC) jacket. This includes the riser sections of pipelines PL253b, PL1220 and PL1221 on the TP jacket, and the riser sections of pipelines PL2162 and PL2163 on the TC jacket.

The Trent jackets are located in the Trent gas field (UKCS Block 43/24a) in the Southern North Sea, approximately 116km from Flamborough, Yorkshire, on the UK coastline. The coordinates for the jackets are WGS84 latitude 54° 17' 56.154" N, longitude 01° 39' 30.367" E for the TP; and WGS84 latitude 54° 17' 55.174" N, longitude 01° 39' 28.418" E for the TC.

The Trent installations are located within the boundary of the Southern North Sea Special Area of Conservation, designated for the harbour porpoise.

Alternatively, a hard copy of the DPs can be inspected at the location given below during office hours.

Representations regarding the Trent Jackets and Riser Sections DPs should be submitted in writing or electronically to the following address, where they should be received by the closing date of 31st August 2026 and state the grounds upon which any representations are being made.
