NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DISPOSE OF AN

ASSET OF COMMUNITY VALUE

The Maypole Inn, Main Street, Long Preston, BD23 4PH

North Yorkshire Council has received notification from the owners of The Maypole Inn, Main Street, Long Preston, BD23 4PH that they intend to dispose of part of the above property. The property is currently listed on the Council’s Register of Assets of Community Value.

Under the Localism Act 2011 (Section 95-97), a moratorium period on disposal of the property exists from 13 July 2026 to 23 August 2026. During this time disposal of the property/land is not permitted, unless it falls within an exemption as outlined in Annexe A of the Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012.

During the moratorium period requests in writing from a community interest group to be treated as a potential bidder for the asset should be sent via email to: assetsofcommunityvalue.NYC@northyorks.gov.uk or in writing to:
