NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF AN OPEN SPACE

LAND AT KING GEORGE V PLAYING FIELD, MUMBLES ROAD, BLACKPILL,
SWANSEA, LAND LYING TO THE WEST SIDE OF SKETTY LANE, SKETTY,
SWANSEA, LAND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF ASHLEIGH ROAD, SKETTY, SWANSEA AND LAND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MUMBLES ROAD BLACKPILL SWANSEA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City and County of Swansea, being the owner of the parcel of land described below which is held and maintained as public open space, proposes to dispose of the said land (except for those areas coloured orange and hatched black) by way of a lease. The proposed disposal will not result in the loss of sporting facilities, and the land will remain in use as sporting and recreational facilities following the disposal.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PARCEL OF LAND

Land at King George V Playing Field, Mumbles Road, Blackpill, Swansea
Land Lying To The West Side Of Sketty Lane, Sketty, Swansea
Land On The North Side Of Ashleigh Road, Sketty, Swansea
Land On The North Side Of Mumbles Road Blackpill Swansea

A plan of the land proposed to be disposed of is available for inspection in the foyer of the offices of The Council of the City and County of Swansea, Y Storfa, 277-278 Oxford Street, Swansea SA1 3EL during normal office hours.

Objections to the proposed disposal must be made in writing and addressed to the Head of Property and Regeneration, The Council of the City and County of Swansea, Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road, Swansea, SA1 3SN, under reference "King George V Playing Field Open Space Disposal" and quoting the reference number DGC-286158 or made via the Council's website at http://www.swansea.gov.uk/publicnotices by 5pm on 21st August 2026.
