Notice of the making of a Definitive Map Modification Order, Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, The District of Hambleton (outside the North York Moors National Park) Definitive Map & Statement - Restricted Byway no. 10.31/17, Green Gate Lane, Crakehall, Modification Order 2026

The above Order, made on 03/07/26, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map & statement for the area by adding restricted byway No. 10.31/17 which commences at SE 2418 9036 at the junction with the C36 road, & proceeds generally east north east along the farm lane to Green Gate Farm, then continues along the farm track to a field gate where it runs in a generally south east direction across a pasture field to a field gate, then runs generally east south east adjacent to the field boundary & across a pasture field to a field gate, then runs in a generally south east direction to SE2523 9038 at the junction with the U591 road. Closing date for responses: 04/09/26

Notice of making of a Public Path Diversion & Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 & Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, Restricted Byway no. 10.31/17, Green Gate Lane, Crakehall Diversion Order 2026

The above Order, made on 03/07/26 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 & Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 will divert the restricted byway described below & modify the District of Hambleton (Outside The North York Moors National Park) Definitive Map & Statement accordingly. Restricted byway No. 10.31/17 between SE 2478 9053 & SE 2495 9045 will be diverted onto a new route in a generally east north east then south east direction along the farm track between SE 2478 9053 & SE 2495 9045. Please note – this diversion will only come into effect on confirmation of the Restricted Byway no. 10.31/17, Green Gate Lane, Crakehall, Modification Order 2026. Closing date for responses: 21/08/26.

A copy of the above Orders as made & the Order maps may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Bedale Community Library, North Yorkshire until 04/09/26 & 21/08/26, respectively. Any representation or objection relating to either Order must be sent in writing to Suzanne Williamson, North Yorkshire Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD, no later than the dates stated above, stating the grounds on which it is made. Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential & may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination. If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order(s), or if any so made are withdrawn, The North Yorkshire Council, instead of submitting the Order(s) to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order(s). If the Order(s) is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made & not withdrawn will be sent with it.
