Chingford, London – Proposed Disposal of Open Space Land for a Community Café Lease

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 123(2A) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE LAND

Land at MEMORIAL PARK, 214 CHINGFORD MOUNT ROAD, LONDON, E4 8JR as shown edged red on the plan (“the Property”)

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Waltham Forest proposes, in accordance with s123 of the Local Government Act (as amended by Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980) to dispose of the Property which is public open space by granting a lease to MB Community CIC for use as a community café.
2. The plan of the Property is available for inspection by appointment at London Borough of Waltham Forest, Town Hall, Forest Road, London, E17 4JF between 9am and 4pm or can be sent electronically upon request. Please contact regeneration@walthamforest.gov.uk to make an appointment to inspect the plan or to request an electronic copy of the plan.
3. Before making any further decision of the proposed disposal of the Property the Council will consider any objections or written representations received. All objections or written representations should be in writing to the Director: Area Regeneration Delivery, London Borough of Waltham Forest, Town Hall, Forest Road, London, E17 4JF. Alternatively, representations can be submitted by email to regeneration@walthamforest.gov.uk, quoting reference (Memorial Park Pavilion Café) and must arrive no later than Friday 14th August.
