PART OF FOOTPATH FP0804018 AT BOWKER'S GREEN, AUGHTON, WEST LANCASHIRE
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order, made on 17 June 2026, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath running from a point at SD 3975 0423 in the arable field to the SW of Mickering Farm, in a generally E direction to an access track (serving a nearby electricity substation), over a small stream then leaving the access track to continue on the S edge of a small wood, on the N side of the unnamed stream, to turn N through a short section of the wood, and, then turn E to Mickering Lane passing near the commercial premises, to a line running east from the same point in the arable field to a 90o bend in the access track and continuing east along the track to Mickering Lane as shown on the Order Map.

The Order will amend the Definitive Map and Statement for the County of Lancashire accordingly.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at my offices from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of £1.00. 

Any representations about, or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston, PR1 0LD (REF: LSG4/FJ4/888_4539) not later than Wednesday 19th August 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Lancashire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. 

If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
