NOTICE OF BALLOT
PROPOSED EAST LOTHIAN FOOD & DRINK BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that a ballot is to be held on the proposal to renew the East Lothian Food & Drink Business Improvement District (BID).
The ballot will be conducted entirely by post on behalf of Laurence Rockey, Returning Officer, East Lothian Council by the appointed Independent Scrutineer IDOX Software Ltd.
Ballot papers will be sent to those eligible to vote by no later than 9th July 2026 for return by no later than 5.00pm on 20th August 2026 (“the day of the ballot”).
Who Can Vote in the BID Ballot?
Persons eligible to vote in the ballot are those who are non-domestic ratepayers within the geographical area of the proposed East Lothian Food & Drink BID and who are entitled to vote under the Business Improvement Districts (Scotland) Regulations 2007.
