This notice is given pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925. Notice is hereby given that the Trustee of the Spirax-Sarco Executives Retirement Benefits Scheme (the "Trustee") is intending to wind up the Spirax-Sarco Executives Retirement Benefits Scheme (the "Scheme") and distribute its assets in accordance with the Scheme Rules. Please note this does not impact any members of The Spirax-Sarco Employees Pension Fund who are not also members of the Scheme.
The Scheme relates only to benefits in respect of service before 12 March 2021. Any persons (unless they fall into one of the categories below) having a claim or interest in the Scheme are required to send particulars in writing of such claim or interest, together with details of their full name, address, date of birth and the period when they were employed at Spirax-Sarco Limited or Spirax Group plc (formerly Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc), to the Trustee of the Scheme at: Spirax Pensions Sunderland SR43 4JU. Particulars of any claim or interest must be received by the Trustee no later than two months from the date of this notice. In order to ensure that the Trustee receives notice of any such particulars, the Trustee recommends that particulars of any claims are sent by a guaranteed delivery method.
As soon as possible after the expiry of the two-month period referred to above, the Trustee intends to distribute the remaining Scheme assets in accordance with the Scheme Rules, having regard only to claims and interests of which it has had notice. The Trustee will not, in respect of the property so distributed, be liable to any person of whose claim they have not had notice.
Please note that you do not need to contact the Trustee in relation to this notice if you fall into one of the following categories: you have already been notified of the proposal to wind up the Scheme by the Trustee, you are already receiving a pension from the Scheme, you have made a claim for benefits from the Scheme and received a response, you are a member of The Spirax-Sarco Employees Pension Fund, but not a member of the Scheme.
