TRAFFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL THE BOROUGH
OF TRAFFORD (BROOKS DRIVE, WHITE CARR LANE TO DOBBINETS LANE) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

The above Order made on 24th June 2026 if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them the bridleway as described in the Schedule below. 

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge online at https://www.trafford.gov.uk/streets-roads-and-transport/roads-highways-and-pavements/public-rights-way-prow/directory-definitive-map-modification-orders-dmmos/dmmo-109-brooks-drive-between-whitecarr-lane-and-dobbinetslane or at Sale Waterside Sale Greater Manchester M33 7ZF during normal opening hours Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Director of Legal and Governance, Trafford Council,Trafford Town Hall Talbot Road Stretford Greater Manchester M32 OTH not later than 17th August 2026 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, Trafford Borough Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order). 

If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, in whole or in part, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.

Schedule a bridleway along Brooks Drive, Hale commencing at its junction with the southerly kerb line of Dobbinets Lane at O.S. grid reference SJ 7997 8761 (point 'A' marked on the Order Map) continuing in a southwesterly direction to O.S. grid reference SJ 8029 8727 (point 'B' marked on the Order Map) where the way terminates on the northerly kerb line of Whitecarr Lane.

The width of the bridleway is 8 metres. The approximate length of the bridleway is 465 metres.
