NOTICE OF ORDER TO EXEMPT LAND FROM ACCESS RIGHTS

Notice is hereby given under Section 11(9) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (“the Act”) that on 23 June 2026 East Lothian Council made the East Lothian Council (Scottish Open, The Renaissance Club) (Exemption) Order 2026 (“the Order”) under Section 11(1) of the Act.

The effect of the Order is to exempt the area of land at The Renaissance Club, Dirleton from the access rights which would otherwise be exercisable in respect of that land by virtue of Part 1 of the Act.

The purposes for which the Order is made are to secure the safety and security of players and the safety of the public during the Scottish Open Golf Championship and practice days and to allow an entrance fee to be charged.

The Order will take effect from 00.01 hours on 7th July 2026 and will expire at 23.59 hours on 12th July 2026, unless revoked earlier.
