ORDER 2019) NOTICE OF VARIATION 2026

Ipswich Borough Council ("the Council") pursuant to arrangements made in accordance with the Local Government Act 2000 and Regulations made thereunder with the Suffolk County Council in exercise of the powers of the County Council under Section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, hereby gives notice (a "notice of variation") that it is amending Schedule 1 of the Suffolk County Council (Borough of Ipswich) (Stopping, Waiting and Loading Prohibitions and Restrictions and On-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2019, as amended, the effect of which will be to vary the charges that apply for parking on the on-street designated parking places shown in the table below (exemptions apply for holders of a disabled person's blue badge), with effect from 20th July 2026.

Classes of vehicle remain as described in the Order (disabled persons' vehicles, goods vehicles, invalid carriages, motor cycles and passenger vehicles). The current '£2.70 after 2' (£2.70 after 2pm Monday to Friday) special promotional offer available at the Cromwell Square on-street designated parking place will be varied to '£2.80 after 2' (£2.80 after 2pm, Monday to Friday).

At all times: maximum stay = 5 hours during permitted hours – no return within 1 hour.

Up to 1 hour = £2.60

Up to 2 hours = £4.40

Up to 3 hours = £6.20

Up to 4 hours = £7.40

Up to 5 hours = £9.00

At all times: motorcycles = free.

At all times: maximum stay = 5 hours during permitted hours – no return within 1 hour.
