NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

WORCESTERSHIRE DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT

WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

ADDITION OF FOOTPATH KD-548 IN THE TOWN OF KIDDERMINSTER

MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

On 13th May 2026 the County Council confirmed the above order without modification.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them the footpath with a width of 2m (metres) from: the N side of A456 Birmingham Rd at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SO 8492 7721. It then continues in a generally NW direction, for a distance of 292m, parallel with the rear of houses at Baldwin Rd to gap in the hedge at OSGR SO 8482 7748. The footpath then continues in a generally N direction, for a distance of 142m to meet bridleway KD-514 at OSGR SO 8479 7762 near its junction with Hurcott Rd.

The Order becomes operative on 13th May 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, on the grounds that it is not within the power of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or that any requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to it, they may under paragraph 11 of the Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from the date of publication of this Notice, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
