Bury - Proposed Disposal of Council Open Space

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 (1), (2A) DISPOSAL OF ONE PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF VICTORIA RETAIL PARK, BOLTONROAD, BURY, BL8 2AH Pursuant to section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972, The Metropolitan Borough of Bury hereby gives notice of its intention to dispose of land via redevelopment covering a total area of approximately 103m2 at the leisure land just off the junction of Bolton Road and Victoria Street at the south end of Victoria Retail Park. A copy of the plan showing the position of the land in question is available by writing to Alexandra Hinchly, Town Hall, Knowsley Street, Bury, BL9 OSW or preferably by email from property@bury.gov.uk

This is a formal notice given insofar as the above-described parcel of land consists or forms part of an open space for the purposes of section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972.

Further information or objections regarding the above should be made in writing and addressed to G Gallagher, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury, BL9 OEJ or preferably by email from property@bury.gov.uk to be received by no later than 23rd July 2026.

Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
