What is happening?

Section 123 Local Government Act 1972

Exeter City Council has agreed terms for the granting a 25-year lease on and across amenity land at the rear of 5-79 Hazel Road adjoining Ludwell Valley Park to National Grid Electricity Distribution (South West) plc to enable the building an electricity substation (4m x 4.2m) together with the laying of associated cabling.

Plans showing the substation site and proposed route of the cabling are available for inspection at www.exeter.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/under consultations and petitions or on request by email estates@exeter.gov.uk or telephone 01392 265127.

The Council will consider any comments submitted in writing to The Head of Commercial Assets, Exeter City Council, Paris Street, Exeter EX1 1JJ or via email estates@exeter.gov.uk which should be received by Thursday 6th August 2026.
