What is happening?

Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan
Following a positive referendum result on the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan on 7 May 2026, Woking Borough Council has made the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan part of the Development Plan for the purposes of managing development in the Byfleet Neighbourhood Area.
Therefore policies contained in the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan will be used in determining planning applications within the Neighbourhood Area. This decision took effect from 11 June 2026.
The Council has published a final Decision Statement (in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012) that sets out the Council’s decision and the reasons for making the decision. Inspection of the Documents
The Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan will be available for inspection at the following venues:
• Woking Borough Council, Civic Offices, Gloucester Square, Woking, GU21 6YL (pre-booked appointments only)-call 01483 755 855 between 9am and 1pm, Monday to Friday.
• Byfleet Community Library, High Road, Byfleet, KT14 7QN (10am and 4pm, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday; 4pm and 6pm, Wednesdays; 3pm and 5pm, Thursday; 2pm and 4pm, Sunday)
