LAND AT OLD BIRLEY STREET, ARCHWAY, PHOENIX WAY AND GREENHEYS LANE WEST, KNOWN AS PLOT E BIRLEY FIELDS MANCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Manchester City Council intends to dispose of open space land having a total area of approximately 2.72 Acres. The land is approximately located at around a mile south of Manchester City Centre in the ward of Hulme. It is bound by Phoenix Way to the North, Greenheys Lane West to the South, Archway to the East and Old Birley Street to the West. Immediately adjacent to Plot E is the petrol station serving the ASDA supermarket at Hulme High Street which lies to the South of the site. To the North are Reynolds House and Turing House. To the East, as previously noted, are the two modern office blocks. To the West is a mixture of private and housing association managed residential properties.

The land described above is more particularly shown edged red on the deposited plan, which may be inspected at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive. If you are unable to attend, a copy of the plan may be requested (without payment) by emailing phlegal@ manchester.gov.uk

Objections to the intended disposal must be made in writing and addressed to me at the address below or by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk so as to be received no later than 27th July 2026. Please quote reference L/GS/ EST001/93806.
