NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 118

WIRRAL BOROUGH COUNCIL

FORMER ADOPTED FOOTPATH WITHIN THE BOUNDARY OF 30/32 BELMONT AVENUE, BROMBOROUGH, CH62 2ED

PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2024

On 27 May 2026 the Wirral Borough Council confirmed the above named Order under Section 118, Highways Act 1980

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish that length of former adopted footpath within the boundary of 30/32 Belmont Avenue, Bromborough shown by a continuous bold line from Point A to B in a North easterly direction for 26 meters, and 2 meters in width, as shown on the order map.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Rock Ferry Library, Old Chester Road, Rock Ferry, CH42 3TD from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday to Thursday. Copies of the order and map may be bought free of charge.

The Order comes into force on 30 July 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, make an application to the High Court.
