ANNUAL AUDIT OF ACCOUNTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in terms of the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1973, Section 101 and Regulation 9(1) of the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations, 2014:-
(a) That Abstracts of Accounts of West Lothian Council, West Lothian Integration Joint Board and the following charities,
SCO19714 - Quarter Farm Mortification for Benefit of Poor SCO19709 - James Wood Bequest for the Poor (Blackridge & Torphichen)
SCO19708 - James Wood Bequest for a Nurse
SCO19711 - David Forrester Bequest
SCO29023 - West Lothian Trust for the Benefit of People with Disabilities
SCO25091 - Miscellaneous Charitable Trusts
SCO19710/SCO19717-SCO19720 - Connected Charities - Linlithgow
SCO19712/SCO19716 - Connected Charities - Uphall
SCO20953 - Bathgate and Boghall Youth and Community Endeavour Trust
Duly balanced and signed, for the period from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, together with all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto, will be available for inspection, by any interested person, in or through the office of the Director of Finance and Property Services, West Lothian Civic Centre, Livingston, during the period from 26 June to 16 July 2026 (both dates inclusive) between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on any week day, other than Saturday.
Any requests for inspection must be made by emailing Financialmanagement@westlothian.gov.uk.
Copies of the unaudited accounts can be found on our website at westlothian.gov.uk and are available for download.
(b) Any person interested may object to the Accounts, or any part thereof, by sending a copy of his/her objection, together with a statement of grounds thereof, in writing to the Auditor. A copy of his/her objection and statement of grounds thereof, must also be sent to the undersigned and to any officer of the Council who may be concerned. Any objection to the Accounts must be submitted to the Auditor by 17 July 2026.
(c) Any person who wishes to object to the said Accounts can also appear before and be heard by the Auditor with respect to that objection. Any such appearance can be made either personally or by a representative.
(d) The Auditor is Claire Gardiner, Audit Director, Audit Scotland, 4th Floor, 102 West Port, Edinburgh, EH3 9DN.
