Notice of application to vary a full licence

to abstract (take) water

Dennis (Haddenham) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial numbers AN/033/0035/018/R01, AN/033/0036/004/R01, 6/33/35/*S/0300/R02 and 6/33/26/*S/0423/R02 which authorise the abstraction of water from Long Drove Drain and an unnamed drain in the Waterbeach Level IDB district at Waterbeach, Drains at Little Thetford, Cambs (Great Ouse and Grunty Fen), Old West River and drains within the South Level System and Drains within the Haddenham Level Drainage Commissioners IDB.

The variation applied for is: to increase the annual quantity for each licence and add further abstraction points and reaches at National Grid Reference (NGR) TL 50844 65739 from 7,273 cubic metres (m³) to 24,672m³, between National Grid References (NGRs) TL 53554 77462 and TL 53950 76464 from 7,273m³ to 24,672m³, NGR TL 42740 72781 from 114,133m³ to 120,000m³ and NGRs TL 40900 76253 and TL 41167 76277 from 114,133m³ to 120,000m³.

Further details are: this will be supported by and enable a transfer of water from a new licence AN/033/0035/029.
