Definitive Map and Statement for the former Carrick District Area
The Cornwall Council (Addition of Public Footpaths at Forgue in the Parishes of Ladock and Probus) Modification Order 2026
On 12th May 2026, Cornwall Council confirmed the above Order made under section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Ladock commencing at its junction with existing Public Footpath 4 Ladock approximately 219 metres south-south-west of ‘Forgue Farm Cottage’ at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 8900/4990 and continuing in a generally north-north-easterly direction for a distance of 33 metres and terminating at its junction with existing Public Footpath 3 Ladock approximately 187 metres south of ‘Forgue Farm Cottage’ at OSGR SW 8901/4993 and by adding a length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Probus commencing at its junction with existing Public Footpath 3 Ladock approximately 194 metres south of ‘Forgue Farm Cottage’ at OSGR SW 8903/4992 and continuing in a generally east-south-easterly direction for a distance of 67 metres and terminating at its junction with Classified Road B3275 approximately 228 metres south-south-east of ‘Forgue Farm Cottage’ at OSGR SW 8909/4989.

A copy of the Order and Order map has also been placed and may be seen at the offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY from 8.45 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays and also at Truro Community Library, Union Place, Truro TR1 1EP from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays.
The Order came into force on the day that it was confirmed but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 of the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 12 (1) of Schedule 15 to the Act within six weeks from the date of this Notice, make application to the High Court.
