Highways Act 1980 Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Order
The Cornwall Council (Public Footpath No. 30 (Part) Lostwithiel) (Poldew Woods) Public Path Diversion Order 2025
On 19 May 2026, Cornwall Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a length of Public Footpath 30 in the Parish of Lostwithiel commencing at its junction with a part of Public Footpath 30 Lostwithiel to be retained approximately 238 metres east of 'Poldew Farm' at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SX 09599/60261 then continuing in a south-easterly direction of 76 metres to where it terminates at its junction with Classified Road (B3268) approximately 285 metres east of'Poldew Farm' at OSGR SX 09652/60216 to a revised line commencing at its junction with a part of Public Footpath 30 Lostwithiel to be retained, approximately 238 metres east of'Poldew Farm' at OSGR SX 09599/60261 continuing in an easterly then east-south-easterly then easterly direction for 64 metres terminating at its junction with Classified Road (B3268) approximately 288 meters east of'Poldew Farm' at to OSGR SX 09653/60241.
A copy of the operative order and order map may be downloaded from Cornwall Council's website at https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment/countryside/public-path-orders/confirmed-public-path-orders/ and have also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Lostwithiel Library, Taprell House, North Street, Lostwithiel, PL22 OBL open on Wednesday at 10am until 4:30pm and Saturday at 9am to 12pm. Alternatively copies of the order and order map may be obtained free of charge from proworders@cornwall.gov.uk.
The order came into force on the date on which the order was confirmed, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from the date of this Notice, make application to the High Court.
