THE CORNWALL COUNCIL (ADDITION OF A FOOTPATH AT GERMOE IN THE PARISH OF GERMOE) MODIFICATION ORDER 2026
On 21 May 2026, Cornwall Council confirmed the above order made under section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:
Adding a length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Germoe commencing at Public Footpath 9 Germoe, 28 metres north-east of "Cobbernoon" at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 5829/2956, then running in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 100 metres to its junction with Public Footpath 5 Germoe, 93 metres south-east of "Cobbernoon" at OSGR SW 5834/2948, then running in a easterly, then east-south-easterly direction for a distance of 108 metres terminating at its junction with Unclassified Road U6021 194 metres south-east of "Cobbernoon" at OSGR SW 5844/2944.

Copies of the order and map may also be requested by email from PROWOrders@cornwall.gov.uk or by telephoning 0300 1234 202. A copy of the Order and Map has also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Helston Library and Information Service, Trengrouse Way, Helston, TR13 8AG from 09.00 am to 17.00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 10.00 am to 13.00 pm on Saturday. A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY on 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Monday to Friday (Bank Holidays excepted).
The order comes into force on the day that it is confirmed but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 of the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 12 (1) of Schedule 15 to the Act within six weeks from 4 June 2026, make an application to the High Court.
