Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the Former Carrick District Area 

The Cornwall Council (Addition of Restricted Byways together with the upgrade of Footpaths to Restricted Byways at Coldharbour and Silverwell in the parishes of St Agnes and Perranzabuloe) Modification Order 2026 

The above Order made on 14th May 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding: 

(i) a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Agnes commencing at Classified Road C101 approximately 562 metres north-north-west of "Whitestreet Farm" at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 7441/4962, then running in a generally south-easterly and then southerly direction for a distance of 602 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7449/4909, then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 236 metres to its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 53 St Agnes at OSGR SW 7453/4886, then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 225 metres to its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 53 St Agnes and another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7454/4864, then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 573 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7452/4807, then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 301 metres and terminating at Unclassified Road U6072 approximately 266 metres south-south-east of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7456/4777. 

(ii) a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Agnes commencing at Classified Road C101 approximately 59 metres west-north-west of "Wrinklers Farm" at OSGR SW 7428/4903, then running in a generally east-north-easterly direction for a distance of 218 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7449/4909, then running in a generally east-north-easterly direction for a distance of 260 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7474/4914, then running in a generally east north-easterly direction for a distance of 260 metres and terminating at its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 60 St Agnes approximately 279 metres east-north-east of "Whitestreet Farm" at OSGR SW 7499/4920. 

(iii) a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Agnes commencing at another Restricted Byway added by this Order approximately 30 metres south-east of "Whitestreet Farm" at OSGR SW 7474/4914, then running in a generally south-south-westerly and then east-south-easterly direction for a distance of 368 metres and terminating at its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 60 St Agnes and another part of existing Public Footpath Number 60 St Agnes to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order approximately 300 metres south-east of "Whitestreet Farm " at OSGR SW 7497/4899. 

(iv) a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Agnes commencing at Classified Road C101 approximately 43 metres north-west of "Silverwell Farm" at OSGR SW 7425/4857, then running in a generally east-north-easterly direction for a distance of 293 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway to be added by this Order at OSGR SW 7454/4864, then running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 436 metres to its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 4 Perranzabuloe to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order approximately 144 metres south-east of "Coldharbour" at OSGR SW 7496/4867. 

(v) A length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Agnes commencing at Classified Road C101 approximately 303 metres west of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7420/4801, then running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 199 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7439/4801, then running in a generally east-north-easterly direction for a distance of 54 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7444/4804, then running in a generally east north-easterly direction for a distance of 92 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7452/4807, then running in a generally east south-easterly then north-easterly and then easterly direction for a distance of 509 metres to its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 2 Perranzabuloe to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order approximately 512 metres east-north-east of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7494/4831. 

(vi) a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Agnes commencing at its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order approximately 117 metre west-south-west of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7439/4801, then running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 48 metres, and terminating at its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order approximately 72 metres west-south-west of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7444/4801. 

(vii) a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Agnes commencing at another Restricted Byway added by this Order, approximately 70 metres west of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7443/4804, then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 25 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway added by this Order at OSGR SW 7444/4801, then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 193 metres and terminating at its junction with Unclassified Road U6072 approximately 217 metres south-south-west of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7444/4783. 

The above Order, if confirmed as made, will also modify the definitive map and statement for the area by upgrading: (i) a length of existing Public Footpath Number 60 in the Parish of St Agnes to Restricted Byway commencing at its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 60 St Agnes and a Restricted Byway added by this Order approximately 300 metres south-east of "Whitestreet Farm" at OSGR SW 7497/4899, then running in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 15 metres to its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 60 St Agnes at OSGR SW 7497/4898, then running in a generally south-easterly direction for a distance of 29 metres to its junction with Public Bridleway Number 6 in the Parish of Perranzabuloe approximately 335 metres south-east of "Whitestreet Farm" at OSGR SW 7499/4897. 

(ii) a length of existing Public Footpath Number 4 in the Parish of Perranzabuloe to Restricted Byway commencing at its junction with a Restricted Byway to be added by this Order approximately 144m south-east of "Coldharbour" at OSGR SW 7496/4867, then running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 46 metres to its junction with Byway Open to All Traffic Number 5 Perranzabuloe and Public Footpath Number 4 Perranzabuloe approximately 167 metres south-east of "Coldharbour" at OSGR SW 7501/4868. 

(iii) a length of existing Public Footpath Number 2 in the Parish of Perranzabuloe to Restricted Byway commencing at its junction with a Restricted Byway to be added by this Order approximately 512m east-north-east of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7494/4831, and continuing in a generally easterly direction for a distance of 232 metres to its junction with Unclassified Road U6072 approximately 723 metres east-north-east of "Silverwell House" at OSGR SW 7516/4833.

A copy of the Order and Order map has been placed and may be seen at the offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY from 8.45 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays and also at Truro Community Library, Union Place, Truro TR1 1 EP from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays. 

Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent in writing, quoting reference WCA 780_783, to the Public Rights of Way Team Leader, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY not later than 9th July 2026 or by email to PROWOrders@cornwall.gov.uk stating the grounds on which it is made. 

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cornwall Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. 

If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
