Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire
Little Wittenham Footpath No. 10 (part) Modification Order 2026
On 29 April 2026, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-
Amending the alignment of the footpath from OS grid reference SU 5707 9253 running east-north-east for 22 metres to Footpath No. 7 at SU 5709 9254 to a route from SU 5707 9253 south-east for 8 metres to SU 5708 9252 and south-south-east for 14m to Footpath No. 7 at SU 5708 9251.

The order as confirmed became operative on the date of confirmation but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, on the ground that it is not within the powers of section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 28 May 2026, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
