NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an application is being made by National Grid Electricity Distribution (South West) Plc to the Secretary of State at the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989. Consent is being sought to replace the phase conductors (electricity lines), on the existing 132kV overhead line (AY Route Towers 1-8) with slightly larger modern equivalents as part of network reinforcement but to remain a 132kV line. These works are being combined with replacement of telecoms fibre/earthing wires being undertaken by National Grid Telecoms along the same route. These works are located at the Goss Moor National Nature Reserve located off B3274 near Roche, Cornwall.
The existing towers are located at grid references:

5. E=194891 N=059136
6. E=195163 N=059254

8. E=195796 N=059499
Plans will be available for public inspection between 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday at the following address: National Grid Electricity Distribution Lostwithiel Road, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL31 1DE

Any person wishing to object to the application should send particulars of such an objection using the reference ‘CW52553 - AY Reconductoring works’ by email to s37consents@energysecurity.gov.uk or to the following address: The Secretary of State at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero 55 Whitehall, London, SW1A 2HP
SUCH OBJECTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 4 weeks from latest publication. Any such objections or representations will be copied to the relevant planning authority and the applicant unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not so be copied.
If there is such a request then the relevant planning authorities and the applicant will only be informed that an objection has been made but no details will be forwarded to them.
