Suffolk - Application for Approval as a Marriage & Civil Partnership Venue

MARRIAGES AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS (APPROVED PREMISES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2022

Suffolk County Council has received an application from The Venue at Kersey Mill Limited for Kersey Mill, Stone Street, Kersey, nr Hadleigh, Suffolk IP7 6DP to be approved as a venue for the solemnisation of marriages in pursuance of Section 26 (1) (bb) of the Marriage Act 1949, and the registration of civil partnerships in pursuance of Section 63 (A) (a) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004.

Copies of the application and plans showing the proposed premises have been deposited and may be inspected free of charge at the offices of Suffolk County Council, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich IP1 2BX between 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 9am - 4pm Friday. Further copies of these documents have also been deposited at The Registration Office, The Town Hall, Old Market Place, Sudbury CO10 1TL, and may be inspected, by appointment, between 9.30am - 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Any representation or objection with respect to this application may be sent in writing to Jane Parker, Head of Registration Services, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 2BX or to: venuelicensing@suffolk.gov.uk before 09/06/2026 stating the grounds on which it is made.

Suffolk County Council has received an application from Stoke by Nayland Club Ltd, for the Stoke by Nayland Resort, Keepers Lane, Leavenheath, Colchester, Essex CO6 4PZ to be approved as a venue for the solemnisation of marriages in pursuance of Section 26 (1) (bb) of the Marriage Act 1949, and the registration of civil partnerships in pursuance of Section 63 (A) (a) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004.
