Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, that South Lanarkshire Council (“the Council”) has received a valid petition to establish a Community Council for the Crawford and Elvanfoot Community Council area, all in terms of South Lanarkshire Council’s Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils.

Any person on the Register of Electors, for the Crawford and Elvanfoot Community Council area, who seeks election to the Crawford and Elvanfoot Community Council, must lodge a completed, signed nomination form. The form must also be counter signed by a proposer and seconder, both of whom shall also be on the Register of Electors for the Crawford and Elvanfoot Community Council area.

Nomination forms are available from the council’s Administration and Legal Services and the council website www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk

Completed forms must be returned to the council’s Administration and Legal Services no later than 4pm on Wednesday 24 June 2026.

A boundary map of the Crawford and Elvanfoot Community Council area is available on request.
