Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water
Knight Farming Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Roding at National Grid Reference TL 59243 17310.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
• 61 cubic metres an hour (winter)
• 120 cubic metres per hour (summer)
• 1,461 cubic metres a day (winter)
• 2,880 cubic metres per day (Summer)
• 50,000 cubic metres a year (total)
• Between 01 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for storage into a reservoir during the winter months for subsequent spray irrigation and spray irrigation (direct) during the summer.
