NOTICE OF PUBLIC LOCAL INQUIRY

Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 – Section 53

Notice is hereby given that an Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to determine Hampshire County Council

The Hampshire (Test Valley Borough No.72) Parish of Smannell – DMMO 2022

and will attend at:

Test Valley Borough Council, Beech Hurst, Weyhill Road, Andover, Hampshire SP10 3AJ

On 16 June 2026 at 10.00am

To hold a public local inquiry into the Order

The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to record footpaths in the parish of Smannell at the following locations: from SU 3724 5036 to SU 3813 5014, from SU 3723 5115 to SU 3822 5032, from SU 3754 5097 to SU 3735 5070, from SU 3733 5072 to SU 3725 5059, from SU 3768 5085 to SU 3758 5040, from SU 3760 5046 to SU 3762 5041, from SU 3782 5074 to SU 3780 5032 and from SU 3821 5059 to SU 3800 5022. All routes are located in Rag Copse and Long Copse, between Smannell Byway Open to All Traffic 15, Hurstbourne Tarrant Footpath 22, Smannell Footpath 7 and Smannell Footpath 6.

Any person wishing to view the statements of case and other documents relating to this Order may do so by appointment at Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD.
