Annibynnol ar Bwyllgor Llywodraethu ac Archwilio’r Cyngor. Os oes gennych unrhyw ddiddordeb neu brofiad mewn llywodraethu, archwilio, perfformiad neu reoli risg ac eisiau helpu’r cyngor i sicrhau ei fod yn cael ei lywodraethu’n effeithiol, yna gallai’r rôl hon fod ar eich cyfer chi.

PENODI AELOD ANNIBYNNOL O’R PWYLLGOR SAFONAU

Mae gennym swydd wag ar gyfer un Aelod Annibynnol ar Bwyllgor Safonau’r Cyngor. Mae hwn yn Bwyllgor statudol sy’n chwarae rhan hanfodol wrth gynnal safonau moesegol uchel ar lefel Cyngor Sir a Chymuned.

RECRIWTIO AELODAU AR GYFER Y PANELI APÊL ADDYSG
Mae gan Gyngor Sir Caerfyrddin ddyletswydd i
hysbysebu a phenodi aelodau o’r Paneli Apêl Addysg. Mae’r paneli hyn yn gwrando ar apeliadau ynghylch derbyn disgyblion i ysgolion ac apeliadau ynghylch gwaharddiadau parhaol o ysgolion Sir Gaerfyrddin yn y sectorau cynradd ac uwchradd. Bydd angen i aelodau’r panel allu dehongli rheoliadau cyfreithiol cymhleth. Mae nifer o swyddi ar gael ar gyfer y rôl hon ac mae hynny’n cynnwys aelodau lleyg a phobl sydd â phrofiad mewn addysg.

STATUTORY COMMITTEES AND PANELS

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking Independent Members and Lay Persons to fill vacancies on its Statutory Committees and Panels.

Standards Committee
£26.25 per hour
£105 per half day (up to 4 hours)
£210 per full day (4 hours or more)

Education Appeals Panel Members
Allowances in respect of financial loss, travel, and
subsistence - Current allowance rates:
£60 for attendance up to 4 hours
£120 for attendance over 4 hours
Travel allowances are payable in accordance with Council policy.

Available positions:-

APPOINTMENT OF LAY PERSON - GOVERNANCE AND AUDIT COMMITTEE
We have a vacancy for one Independent Lay Person for the Council’s Governance and Audit Committee. If you have any interest or experience in governance, audit, performance or risk management and want to help the council ensure that it is governed effectively, then this role could be for you.

APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT MEMBER OF THE STANDARDS COMMITTEE
We have a vacancy for one Independent Member for the Council’s Standards Committee. This is a statutory Committee which plays a crucial role in maintaining high ethical standards at County and Community Council levels.

Applicants:-
Must be independent of the Local Authority, not restricted from filling this role by the Welsh Government rules and not have a substantial business relationship with the Council.
· Must have good listening skills and the ability to understand and weigh up evidence,
· Must be able to come to an objective view and explain that view by reference to the evidence,
· Must have the ability to work as part of a team, have respect for others and an understanding of diversity issues,
· Must be able to act with discretion and personal integrity.

CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
RECRUITMENT FOR MEMBERS OF EDUCATION APPEAL PANELS
Carmarthenshire County Council has a duty to advertise and appoint panel members to sit on Education Appeal Panels. These panels hear appeals regarding admissions of pupils to schools and appeals regarding permanent exclusions from Carmarthenshire schools in both the Primary and Secondary sectors. Panel members will need to be able to interpret complex legal regulations. There are a number of positions available for this role and include lay members and persons with experience in education.
