Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water

YTL Construction (UK) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of the Poole Formation within the area formed by straight lines between the following National Grid References: SZ 00676 93813, SZ 00748 93813, SZ 00748 93776 and SZ 00676 93776 at Poole Water Recycling Centre, Poole, Dorset.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

• 36 cubic metres an hour • 864 cubic metres a day

• 48,000 cubic metres a year • All year.

The water will be abstracted for the purpose of dewatering.
