NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDERS SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY FOR OXFORDSHIRE
Black Bourton Bridleway Nos. 2 & 13 Modification Order 2026
The above Order made on the 27 April 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by upgrading to bridleway the public footpaths running from:
– Burford Road at OS grid reference SP 2876 0453 running east-north-eastwards for 68m to SP 2882 0456, north-eastwards for 106m to SP 2890 0465, and generally east-north-eastwards for 681m via SP 2909 0471 and SP 2946 0495 to the Bampton Parish boundary at SP 2948 0496;
– Bridleway No. 2 at OS grid reference SP 2909 0471 running south-eastwards for 507m via SP 2912 0469 to SP 2940 0431.

Shilton Bridleway No. 11 Modification Order 2026
The above Order made on the 27 April 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:
– Adding to the public bridleway from the Burford Parish boundary at Shilton Road (B4020) at OS Grid Reference SP 2603 1027 north-eastwards for 44m to SP 2607 1028 and eastwards for 1,575m via SP 2683 1014 and SP 2708 1006 to the street through Stonelands, SSW of Footpath No. 10, at SP 2761 1002.

Copies of both Orders and their documents can also be obtained on request from countrysideaccesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk
Any representation or objection relating to the above orders must be sent in writing to Countryside Access Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or countrysideaccesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk not later than 19 June 2026 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to an order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
