What is happening?

The Deviock Parish Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Deviock Parish Council made a new Order on 1st May 2026 under Sections 35, 57 and 59 (and Part IV of Schedule 9) of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 and The Traffic Management Act 2004.

The Order will include provisions in relation to Broads Yard car park, Downderry, with changes to current arrangements as follows: 

To introduce new tariffs, which vary, increase and decrease the charges.

As part of the Council’s annual budget process, and to support the investment costs associated with the future management of the site, seasonal summer charges and season ticket prices are being increased. However, in order to support local residents and businesses, a free first hour of parking is being introduced, winter parking will remain free of charge, and the residents season ticket price will be unchanged.

This Notice is intended to provide an indication of the Order’s provisions. A copy of the final Order may be inspected on the Parish Council’s website at https://www.deviockparish.org.uk/. 

The Order came into effect on 1st May 2026 and will be cited as ‘The Deviock Parish Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2026’.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
