NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION OF PENALTY CHARGE NOTICES IN
CONNECTION WITH THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL (VARIOUS ROADS)
(CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS, ON STREET PARKING
PLACES, RESIDENTS’ PARKING PLACES AND TAXI STANDS) ORDER
2024 (AND ITS SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND RECTIFICATIONS)

Blackpool Borough Council (“the Council”) hereby give NOTICE pursuant to Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Civil Enforcement of Road Traffic Contraventions (Approved Devices, Charging Guidelines and General Provisions) (England) Regulations 2022 will on 1 June 2026 start to impose penalty charge notices by way of vehicles equipped with automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras that record vehicles stopping where restrictions apply.

This measure is being implemented to improve road safety, pedestrian visibility, and compliance with longstanding traffic restrictions.

Level of PCN

•   Penalty Charge £70.00

•   Reduced Charge if paid before the end of 14 days beginning with the date of service the penalty charge will be reduced by one half to £35.00; and

•   If the penalty charge has not been paid by the end of 28 days beginning with the date of service, the Council may increase the penalty charge by half to £90.00 and take steps to enforcement payment of the charge as so increased.
