Open Call for Social Partners for Mid and East Antrim Borough Council PEACEPLUS Partnership
What is happening?
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council established a PEACEPLUS Partnership for the PEACEPLUS Programme in
July 2022. Currently the Partnership has vacancies for 2 Social Partners. The role of the social partner will be
to implement the co-designed PEACEPLUS action plan for our area. The three thematic strands of the
PEACEPLUS Action Plan include:
(i) Local community regeneration and transformation
(ii) Thriving and peaceful communities
(iii) Building respect for all cultural identities
The Mid and East Antrim Borough Council PEACEPLUS Partnership comprises of 27 representatives from four
pillars including 11 nominated Elected Members, 5 nominated public sector representatives, 7 social partners
representing the different geographies of our area (e.g., DEAs) and 4 social partners representing target
groups.
Applications are now welcome for 2 social partners from the PEACEPLUS target groups. We are seeking
applications from community representatives, including volunteers, from constituted Community and
Voluntary Sector organisations who provide services within our council area and who could represent
PEACEPLUS Target groups i.e. gender, age, disability, religious belief, LGBTQIA+
This is an open call process. The role is a voluntary, unpaid role that will require a time commitment of
approximately 4 meetings per annum c.2 hours per meeting. Travel expenses and caring expenses will be paid.
Training will be supplied for all partnership members in all aspects of the programme.
