What is happening?

SOMERSET COUNCIL LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 (1),(2A) NOTICE

Land in Trudoxhill

Notice is hereby given that Somerset Council intends to dispose of the parcels of land and interest within its title holding, known as - the open public spaces at Ashfield Close, land adjacent to Postlebury View, land at the rear of Brook House, and the woodland area, situated to the South of Ashfield Close, Trudoxhill to Trudoxhill Parish Council. The consideration for the transfers will be maintenance for the Public Benefit.

Land in Street

Notice is hereby given that Somerset Council intends to dispose of open spaces, trees and play areas and interest to Street Parish Council as outlined in the Key Decision report titled the “Devolution of Assets and Services to Street Parish Council” dated 19 March 2026. The consideration for the transfers will be maintenance for the Public Benefit.

Land in West Coker

Notice is hereby given that Somerset Council intends to dispose of the parcels of land and interest within its title holding, known as - Allotment gardens and land at Font Lane / Lakefields, access to Sampsons Wood and the transfer of a long lease relating to Sampsons Wood to West Coker Parish Council. The consideration for the transfers will be maintenance for the Public Benefit.

Land in Odcombe

Notice is hereby given that Somerset Council intends to dispose of the parcels of land and interest within its title holding, known Recreation Ground, Old Road, Odcombe, Yeovil, to Odcombe Parish Council. The consideration for the transfers will be maintenance for the Public Benefit.

Representations in respect of the intended disposal must be made in writing and addressed to Property Governance, Property, Somerset Council, County Hall, Taunton, Somerset, TA1 4DY or emailed to propertygovernance@somerset.gov.uk by no later than 5pm on 5th May 2026.
