What is happening?

NET shares update to its Penalty Fare policy On 1 May 2026,

Nottingham Express Transit (NET) will be increasing the cost of its Penalty Fare Notice (PFN) from £70 to £120.

A PFN is given to anyone caught travelling without a valid ticket or pass. As part of the upcoming change, a new 'early payment' discount will also be introduced, reducing the cost for first time offenders to £60 if paid within 14 days.
