LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT

PUBLIC NOTICE GIVEN UNDER SECTION 123(2A) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO GRANT A LEASE OF OPEN SPACE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that the London Borough of Brent (“the Council”) intends to grant a lease of land and premises known as the Welsh Harp Environmental Education Centre, Birchen Grove, London, NW9 8RY having a total area of 1737 sq metres or thereabouts which is shown edged red on the plan together with an office having a total area of 17 sq metres or thereabouts in the adjacent premises known as Planet House shown coloured brown on the plan (together called “the Property”) for a term of 5 years.

The Property forms part of the public open space. The plan may be inspected free of charge on reasonable notice during normal office hours from Monday to Friday at Brent Civic Centre Engineers Way Wembley, Middlesex HA9 0FJ (save for bank holidays).

By virtue of Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to grant the lease of public open space and consider any objections to the proposed disposal.

Any person wishing to object to the disposal stated above should send a written and signed statement setting out the basis for their objections to pam@brent.gov.uk no later than Midnight on 02 April 2026.
