MELTON LOCAL PLAN UPDATE
NOTICE OF SUBMISSION
PLANNING AND COMPULSORY PURCHASE ACT 2004;
THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING
(LOCAL PLANNING) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Regulation 22(3) of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, that Melton Borough Council submitted the Melton Local Plan Partial Update to the Secretary of State for independent examination by the Planning Inspectorate on 27th March 2026.
The Submission Documents include:
• Melton Local Plan Partial Update to 2036
• Policies Map
• Sustainability Appraisal Report
• Regulation 22 Statement of Consultation
• Other supporting documents and evidence

Online copies of all documents can be viewed at the Melton Local Plan examination website:
www.meltonplan.co.uk/lpupdate-examination Hard copies of the Plan, Policies Map, Sustainability
Appraisal and Regulation 22 Statement of Consultation are available for inspection at Melton Borough Council, Parkside, Station Approach, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray, LE13 1GH, during Council opening hours.
An independent planning inspector will shortly be appointed to undertake an examination into the soundness and legal compliance of the submitted Plan. All details relating to the examination process will be made available on the Council’s examination website:
