Cumberland Council, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Finance Act 1992,

Cumberland Council has determined for unoccupied and furnished properties in Class A, that a 50% discount applies.

Cumberland Council has determined for unoccupied and furnished properties in Class B, that there is no discount and a 100% charge applies where an exception is granted.

Cumberland Council has determined for unoccupied and unfurnished properties in Class C, that a discount of 100% for a period of up to 1 month applies.

Cumberland Council has determined for unoccupied and unfurnished properties requiring major repairs in Class D, that there is no discount and a 100% charge applies.

Cumberland Council has determined for long term empty properties due to a relevant person in connection with their employment with the Ministry of Defence in Class E, that a discount of 50% applies.

Cumberland Council has determined for a property which forms part of an annexe to another property and is being used as part of that main residence in Class F, that a discount of 50% applies.

Cumberland Council has determined for long-term empty dwellings that have been unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for more than 12 months and less than 5 years, a maximum Premium of 100% applies, relevant exceptions are considered on application.

Cumberland Council has determined for long-term empty dwellings that have been unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for more than 5 years and no more than 10 years, a maximum Premium of 200% applies, relevant exceptions are considered on application.

Cumberland Council has determined for long-term empty dwellings that have been unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for more than 10 years, a maximum Premium of 300% applies, relevant exceptions are considered on application.

Cumberland Council has determined for unoccupied and substantially furnished properties that are occupied periodically, that a maximum Premium of 100% applies, relevant exceptions are considered on application.
