Harpenden, Disposal of Open Space Land for Football Pavilion Lease
What is happening?
DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE LAND HARPENDEN TOWN COUNCIL
HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that in accordance with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), Harpenden Town Council intends to dispose of Land at Acres Corner, Harpenden Common, Harpenden, Herts for the purpose of a Football Pavilion that is already in situ. This disposal is in the form of a 25 year lease to Harpenden Rovers Youth Football Club. A lease for this land was previously in place with an alternative football club.
A plan that identifies the precise location of the land is available for inspection at Harpenden Town Hall. The Town Council will consider any objections received in writing by the Deputy Town Clerk, Philip Wright, Harpenden Town Hall, Harpenden, AL5 2LX before the 12th March 2026.
