What is happening?

The Department for Communities has launched a 12-week consultation on
the Private Tenancies (Notice to Quit) Regulations (NI) 2025, associated
guidance and an Equality Impact Assessment for shorter notice to quit

This is your opportunity to have your say and help ensure that shorter notice to
quit periods do not adversely impact on vulnerable groups within our society.
The consultation period will run from 5 January to 29 March 2026.
