What is happening?

GREAT YARMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 - S. 70

Notice is hereby given that Great Yarmouth Borough Council intend, after the expiry of the period mentioned below to vary fees for hackney carriage and private hire vehicle and operators' licences, as follows:

First class hackney carriage vehicle licence £300

Private hire vehicle licence £300

First class hackney carriage and Private hire vehicle test fee £62

First class hackney carriage and Private hire interim test fee £22

Second class hackney carriage vehicle licence £325

Second class hackney carriage vehicle test fee £50

Private hire operator's licence

For 1 -10 vehicles £425

For 11- 20 vehicles £534

For 20 Vehicles £773

Driver's licence £240

Transfer of vehicle £83

Knowledge test £30

Replacement badges/crests £15

Replacement plates £30

Copies of this notice will be kept at the Town Hall, Great Yarmouth and will be open for inspection, free of charge, during normal office hours for a period of 28 days from the date of the publication of this notice.

Any objection to the variation of fees shall be made in writing to the Licensing Team, Town Hall, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QF or by emailing: licensing@great-yarmouth.gov.uk, by 9th January 2026.

If no representations are received, or any objections received are subsequently withdrawn before the 9th January 2026, the varied charges will come into effect from 9th January 2026.
