PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PASS A STREET
TRADING RESOLUTION
LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS)
ACT 1982 – SCHEDULE 4
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Buckinghamshire Council intends to pass a resolution under Para 2 of Schedule 4 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 to designate streets within its area for the purposes of street trading control.
The proposed resolution will designate all streets within the Buckinghamshire Council Area as “Consent Streets”, which means that street trading will only be permitted with the consent of the Council. Wording of the proposed resolution:
The Council resolve
1. To revoke all previous street trading designations made under Schedule 4 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (‘the Act’) by the predecessor district councils (namely Aylesbury Vale District Council, Chiltern District Council, South Bucks District Council and Wycombe District Council) on 1st October 2026.
2. Designate all streets within the Buckinghamshire Council Area as Consent Streets under Para 2(1)(c) of Schedule 4 of the Act on 1st October 2026.
The final decision on passing the resolution will be made by Buckinghamshire Council on 15th April 2026, subject to consideration of any representations received.
