Spelthorne Borough Council

Licence Fees in Respect of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles and Operators

In accordance with Sections 53 and 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, Spelthorne Borough Council proposes to set the following fees in respect of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing from 8 January 2026.

Any person wishing to object to the above proposed fees should submit details of their objection in writing within 28 days from the date of this Notice to the Licensing Department, Spelthorne Borough Council, Council Offices, Knowle Green, Staines-upon-Thames, TW18 1XB.

If objection is duly made as aforesaid and is not withdrawn, the fees shall come into force on 1 April 2026 with or without modification as decided by Spelthorne Borough Council Licensing Committee after consideration of the objections. In accordance with Section 70(3)(b) of the Local Government [Miscellaneous Provisions] Act 1976 a copy of this Notice has been deposited at the address above and is open to public inspection without payment.
