NOTICE OF DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER
WILDLIFE & COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 - SECTION 53
THE DEFINITIVE MAP & STATEMENT FOR THE FORMER KERRIER DISTRICT AREA
THE CORNWALL COUNCIL (ADDITION OF A FOOTPATH AT PENHALLICK IN THE PARISH OF CARN BREA) MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above order made on 11 November 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map & statement for the area by: Adding a length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Carn Brea from Unclassified Road U6044, approx 38 metres west-north-west of “Lurley” at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 6702/4078, then running in an east-north-easterly direction for approx 119 metres to its junction with Unclassified Road U6044 approx 91 metres east-north-east of “Lurley” at OSGR SW 6713/4082.

A copy of the Order & Map has been placed & may be seen free of charge at Camborne Library, The Passmore Edwards Building, The Cross, Cross St, Camborne, TR14 8HA from 9am-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday and 9:30-12:30 Saturday (Bank Holidays excepted). A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY from 9am to 5pm, from Monday to Friday (Bank Holidays excepted).
Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team Leader, Cornwall Council Regulatory Services, New County Hall, Truro TR1 3AY (quoting Reference WCA 770) not later than 12 January 2026 stating the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations of objections are duly made to the order, (or to any part of it), or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cornwall Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the order (or that part of the order).
If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State (in whole or in part) any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it. 27 November 2025
